Will I lose features if I practise on my phone?

Same app on every device

The iOS and Android apps are the full product, not a cut-down version: the whole library, all grades, uploads, offline downloads and teacher views. Your progress follows your account.

Frequently asked questions

How much is SightReader Pro?

£5 a month on the web. Inside the iPhone and Android apps it is £5.99 a month or £57.99 a year, which covers the store’s commission. You can cancel whenever you like and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

What do I get on the free tier?

54 study pieces, every grade from Initial to Grade 5 up to that grade’s fifth level, and unlimited note and scale drills. No card and no trial clock. Pro adds the full 4,000-piece library, all nine grades, offline downloads and MusicXML uploads.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account page and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for — there is no exit fee and no notice period. If you subscribed inside the iPhone or Android app, cancel through the store instead.

Do you offer refunds?

Email us. We are a small team and we read every message ourselves, so if SightReader is not what you expected, say so and we will sort it out. Purchases made inside the iPhone or Android app are refunded by Apple or Google rather than by us.

Why is the app more expensive than the website?

Apple and Google take a commission on anything bought inside an app, and the in-app price covers it. Subscribing on the web at £5 a month gets you exactly the same product, and that subscription works in the apps too — it follows your account, not the device.

What happens to my progress if I cancel?

Nothing is deleted. Your practice history, streak and badges stay on your account, and the free tier keeps working — you lose the Pro-only pieces, the grades beyond the free levels, offline downloads and uploads. Resubscribe later and everything is exactly where you left it.

Is SightReader free for teachers?

Yes — verified teachers get Pro free and it does not expire, so there is no reason to buy a subscription first. Apply through the teacher form and we will read it by hand. The grant covers the teacher’s own account; pupils still need their own free or Pro account.
